Position Title: (Concentrator)
Reports to: Sr. Supervisor (Mill) / Mill General Supervisor / Mill Manager
Lead Supervisor of all crushing and milling operations on his/her shift. Responsible for all aspects of crusher and milling operations (including project work) and providing oversight for LSXEW Operations on the off-shift when the LSXEW supervisors are absent.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Achieve forecasted tonnage and copper grade for each month for his/her crew or shift. Interact with Drill and Blast, Mine Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments as necessary to assure the monthly milling plan is executed in the most efficient way possible and project work is completed on time to meet Company goals. Actively mentor and train subordinate supervisors (Supervisor I llls) to obtain necessary skills to improve and develop their performance over time. Ensure required production goals are achieved at the lowest possible cost without sacrificing safety or environmental concerns. Assure all timekeeping, production, and safety paperwork for his/her crew is completed correctly and on-time. Facilitate daily crew line-out and safety meetings Ensure that all mill equipment is operated in the most productive and cost effective manner, without sacrificing the safety and health of employees throughout his/her shift. Communicate goals and key performance indicators to subordinate supervisors and employees and monitor their development in accomplishing these goals. Administer overtime and absenteeism in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or policies. Administer work procedures, corrective action, department policies, and CBA language. Interact with workforce and Human Resources, Safety, Purchasing, Accounting, etc. to ensure compliance with established company policies. Complete project work as directed by upper management. Provide fill-in coverage for Sr. Supervisor on an as needed basis Complete annual performance reviews of subordinate supervisors as required. Model the site and Company values at all times. First-aid certification preferred and maintained
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Basic MS Office skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering with a minimum of 5-years of Milling experience and 2-years of supervisory experience. Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum of 5-years of related experience and 2-years of supervisory experience may be considered. Alternative to above : H.S. diploma with 4 to 10-years Milling/Processing experience with at least 2-years of supervisory experience.
