The Opportunity: APV has a exciting and immediate job opportunity for an Instructional Designer/Developer to support an existing prime contract with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) in developing much needed interactive training and micro learning modules in support of this program.

The ISD will join APV's growing team of talented Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Media Web designers, Gaming developers and programmers, multimedia graphics designers, User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) and other Instructional System Designers. The project team designs, develops, and delivers an extensive range of eLearning products to our clients using open source authoring, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud and other software.

The Instructional Designer/Developer will be an expert in developing highly engaging online training for this client and have demonstrated success in creating highly engaging, innovative and interactive training.


  • BA or BS in Graphics or Digital Design with specialization in Instructional Systems Design
  • Demonstrated professional experience developing digital content including interactive e-learning modules, videos, and custom graphics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and instructors to interpret content and find instructionally sound and visually appealing ways to convey content to learners.
  • MUST HAVE skills in eLearning content development software, for example in Articulate 360, Camtasia, Captivate and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ability to utilize current learning principles/concepts, instructional design theory/evaluation methods, adult learning theory, and training techniques/technologies to support design, development, and delivery of online eLearning and training content.
  • Knowledgeable in 508 compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to effectively pitch ideas to client and team
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a collaborative team and offer creative, time-saving solutions
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and understanding of UX/UI
  • Flexibility and ability to juggle multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing eLearning/training content on complex topics/skills
  • Experience building SCORM 2004
