The Human Resources Administration (HRA) assists over three million low-income and vulnerable New Yorkers annually through the effective and efficient administration of more than 12 major public benefits programs, which reflects thie priority of addressing poverty and income inequality. The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). Through integrated management for HRA and DHS, client services can be provided more seamlessly and effectively.
