The Associate Processor is responsible for processing returned credit cards, returns statements, indexing applications, and also provides support to the sorting and scanning of various mail types, the processing of bankruptcies, and processing media requests. This position requires knowledge of TSO, View & Deliver, Docuware, Flextop, and IP Switch. The position requires the individual to have knowledge of various mail types: FCBA Disputes, Fraud, Consumer Relations, bankruptcies, etc. This position requires a fundamental knowledge of PC and high speed scanning equipment. The position requires the individual to have a skill set with alphanumeric data entry, minimum of 8,000 keystrokes per hour with 98% accuracy. The position is critical to operations as issues in account information can have large financial and client contractual implications as well as legislative breaches resulting in legal expenses. This position also requires the ability to identify and report technical issues. The associate’s responsibilities include communication with management, IT, & other support areas of the business. And maintaining filing of hard documents for the required retention period.
Essential Job Functions
RETURN MAIL PROCESSING -Reviews, prioritizes, and processes returned credit cards and statements for address correction, and looks up information to process return via various platforms.
SCANNING SUPPORT – Supports the scanning of customer service mail, mail sorting, bankruptcies, and media center. This requires high attention to detail to ensure the proper scanning of material.
FILE RETENTION – Maintains the proper filing of documents for predetermined records retention policy. Records must be housed in according to policy and must maintain accuracy.
KEYING – Keys credit applications into various systemic platforms. This requires advanced keying abilities (8,000 key strokes per hour) and a minimum of 98% accuracy.
LABELING – Prepares labels for documents that need to be stored.
TRACKING/REPORTING – Completes tracking and reporting on customer related and escalated inquiries as needed. Requires direct customer contact and escalated to management when needed.
OTHER – Completes other duties as assigned including but not limited to: clean up of work area and equipment
