Receives requests/inquiries from customers and provides information and price quotations to customers. Processes sales and rental orders and coordinates with other departments through to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Sales Representative with Ahern Rentals, you are responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through closing in on an assigned area of responsibility. Develops and implements agreed upon marketing approach and plan which will meet business goals of expanding customer base. The Sales Representatives are expected to work within their sales support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals that are in line with Ahernâ€™s vision and values.

Along with key functions, your internal/external cooperation is needed. Sales Representatives must maintain contact with all clients, in the assigned area of responsibility, to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. The ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees is critical in allowing the sales team to reach full potential. Most of all build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, make sound sales decisions, and demonstrate high integrity. Furthermore, maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values.
Reports directly to the Sales Manager. Coordinates activities with Marketing, Accounting, and Inside Sales/Customer Service.
Ability to communicate with customers, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Sitting, standing, walking, driving, and talking for extended periods is common.
Exertion (lift/push/pull) of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipments and rental equipment.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, and correlate techniques. Able to understand and utilize financial reports and legal documents to conduct business.

The job is performed outside in the field such as construction job sites, industrial plants, warehouses, traditional office settings, and traveling to and from customer accounts. Activities include indoor sporting events, formal dinners, and outdoor sporting events.
