Develop customer strategies and tactics to support the Long Term Strategic Plan (LTSP). Ensure profitability of Gibbs within the customer base. Drive the Gibbs organization to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Be lead technical liaison regarding all parts / programs within defined customer base. Assist in developing new product solutions for Gibbs locations to meet customer needs and demands. Lead team member to resolve commercial issues between the company and our customers. Report market conditions / competitive position in industry. Provides interchange of information between external customers and internal customers including Sales, Marketing, Administration, Operations, Engineering and Executive Management. Ensure all sales and marketing activities are conducted within established legal and ethical policies, in addition to being within the Gibbs operating philosophy. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, industry and customer knowledge, casting and machining expertise, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Support and maintain an accurate accountability of customer contracts, Long-term agreements (LTA ??s), program statement of requirements (SORs), customer tooling and production purchase orders (POs), active CRM database, BD program files and history, etc. Work collaboratively with Program Management and other departments to ensure successful program launches and APQP development. Support annual budget process and quarterly forecast updates regarding customer programs. Drives innovation through successful market introduction of new or enhanced products or technologies. Analyses current and target customers ?? product needs, market trends and competitor analysis and helps to deliver an innovative solution. Position may be based out of your home if located in Southeast Detroit area, or Henderson, Evansville area. Follow all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment. Able to work weekends and overtime as required. REQUIRED SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities: Education: Bachelor ??s Degree in Engineering or Business. Experience: 5 years automotive sales experience calling on OEM and T1 customers.Demonstrated success to develop new customers, identify program opportunities, develop and implement customer strategies, secure targeted business, enhance customer relationships, industry and market segment knowledge. Experience and Technical understanding of high pressure die casting, machining, and assembly processes. Communication:Proven skills (oral/written/media) to communicate persuasively both with external and internal customers. Math: Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other: Demonstrate logical and unemotional ability to identify, assess and develop solutions to customer needs, issues and situations.Be recognized as an advocate by our customers (internal and external). Significant travel to support customer development and plant location in Kentucky.Periodic international travel to support global customer programs and requirements. Work independently from home (no formal sales office) while maintaining excellent communications.
