Job Summary: The Systems Engineer II Network and Web Infrastructure engineers, delivers supports and secures network solutions and web application delivery. The position is responsible for maintenance and support of network and web application posture in both cloud and traditional data center environments. Activities for this position include deployment of and support for firewalls, web application firewalls, unified threat management systems, load-balancers, application delivery controllers, web proxies, remote access solutions, and secure email gateways. The position is also responsible for maintaining network performance baselines, and assisting with definition of monitoring thresholds and the creation of procedures for alarm response. The role aids in the creation, maintenance, communication and optimization of all network support procedures, topology diagrams, and process documentation. Principal Duties: Administer and support web proxies, unified threat management systems, firewalls, application delivery controllers, load balancers, web application firewalls, and secure email gateways that adhere to Information Security policy and best practices. Provide operational support for network and web infrastructure incidents and problems. Work with business and IT requesters to ensure correct deployment of load balancer/application delivery controller services, firewall rules, proxy and secure email gateway exceptions/rules. Operate and maintain enterprise network monitoring and support tools. Support network equipment at both corporate and store locations. Act as an escalation point for issues that can't be resolved by NOC technicians, desktop support technicians and tier two network support technicians. Establish performance baselines and operational parameters to ensure proper monitoring and optimal performance of network systems. Build reports to capture baseline network performance and manage monitoring and alarms of network variance. Create and follow procedures for all changes, particularly changes to infrastructure and services that are part of PCI-DSS audit scope. Follow production support models designed to enhance response times and maintain high availability of production network infrastructure. Build and deploy technology related solutions and make recommendations based on business or operational requirements. Anticipate potential issues/risks and addresses with associated mitigation steps. Maintain skills and capabilities through education, training and hands-on experience. Accept new responsibilities, as required, to enable business growth. Minimum Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology preferred or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of related work experience in the field of networking. Experience configuring and managing network and web security technologies (firewall, UTM, IPS, WAF, web proxies, ADC, Secure Email Gateway) Experience with supporting AWS Network and Security infrastructure. Experience with Azure/O365. Experience with automation, orchestration, and scripting (eg: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, PERL) Experience in routing protocols (eg: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Skilled in LAN/WAN monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience with web server technologies and underlying OS (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, Linux, Windows server) Technical certification(s) desired (e.g. Cisco CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, Citrix CCA-N, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, Blue Coat Security Certification) Familiarity with wireless networking and wireless intrusion prevention systems. Experience with directory services (eg: MS Active Directory, Ping Directory) Exposure to support ticketing and enterprise infrastructure management platforms. SolarWinds and ServiceNow experience preferred. Knowledge of standard frameworks and processes (e.g., ITIL, SAFe, Scrum, Lean) Familiarity with network security principles, compliancy regulations, and maintenance of network security posture.
