Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of the Network Services Division, the Enterprise Data Networks Manager is empowered to independently align and implement high-risk, high-profile initiatives like IPv6 and Cloud services. What would you be doing in this role? As manager of Enterprise Data Networks team with a portfolio of services that enable 130+ local, state and federal government agencies and thousands of employees to connect to the State of Washington's networks, you will have the opportunity to: Direct a team comprised of 15 talented professionals that provide expert level technical analysis, consultation and design recommendations for delivering, procuring and maintaining stable, reliable and secure network services. Partner with the Network Operations and Planning and Design Managers and their respective teams to ensure the timely delivery and support of WaTech's Network Services. Establish and cultivate relationships with WaTech and customer agency senior leadership and executive management to define strategic challenges and identify potential solutions. Work collaboratively with customers, employees and vendors in a manner that fosters open communication, transparency and trust as well as ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget and scope. Ensure the EDN portfolio of services continues to evolve with and adapt to the changing technology in the telecommunications realm as well as align with the strategic direction of the agency. Ensure the highest quality of service delivery and support; compliance with state and industry policies and best practices; and maximum returns on investment (operational and financial). Maintain the highest standards of personal/professional and ethical conduct and support the State's goals for a diverse workforce. Utilize expert communication and project management skills to convey highly complex technical information in a clear, concise manner that is easily understood by individuals from all experience levels and backgrounds. An ideal candidate will have the following: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or eight years equivalent experience Seven years of IT experience with an emphasis on analyzing customer requirements and developing designs or solutions for enterprise data network services Five years of experience in a customer facing role Five years progressively responsible management experience including three years in the delivery of carrier class telecommunications services to a diverse customer base in a service provider environment Five years of experience as a supervisor or manager with demonstrated experience managing at a high level of accountability with an annual budget with revenue and expense of at least $20M Five years direct Project Management experience, managing IT project framework deliverables such as proposals, work breakdown structures (WBS) and project timelines Two years of experience in vendor management and contracts valued in excess of $1 million Demonstrated experience developing IT strategies and in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide technical architectures and designs Ability to organize staff and manage information technology programs; provide leadership in problem solving and strategic planning; and interact effectively with executive level customers Proven success in providing IT products and services to a large agency or organization Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of technical and non-technical people Throughout our selection processes, we will also evaluate candidates for knowledge, skills, abilities, behaviors and capacity for e?elective leadership that aligns with our agency mission.Salary Range: $100K - $110KMinimum Qualification5 - 7 years
