This individual is being hired to fill an opening in the Circuit Card Assembly area on First Shift to perform all functions of an EMA Technician who typically assembles Circuit Cards. The processes involved include, but may not be limited to, soldering, mechanical assembly, jumper and point-to-point wiring, use of torque drivers and wrenches, application of thermal media, application of thread locking compounds to hardware, tinning of wires and/or component leads, and any other process deemed necessary by the Team. In addition, the use of Personal Computers is required to perform tasks required as a part of the daily completion of typical job functions such as Daily Labor, scanning of work into computer systems to track progress against their completion. All tools, computers and any other items needed to perform their jobs will be supplied by Harris Corporation.
The successful applicant will also be required to complete training classes as deemed necessary by management. These training classes may relate to the skills needed to complete the required work but may also relate to the production methods Harris sees fit to teach to its' employees to make them understand the more philosophical aspects of the way work is performed and the way changed may be encouraged which will lead to a higher functioning organization. The applicant must keep an open mind regarding their work and how it needs to be performed. Our methods may differ from those presented to you in the past.
The applicant must be able to locate and read engineering drawings with minimal training. Those drawings are sometimes used in place of a developed process guides to build new product lines. They will always have access to assistance in interpreting the meaning of the drawings, but they should already possess a basic knowledge of how to read basic drawings when they apply for the position.
