Position Description:

The Store Design Coordinator will assist in the design development of new stores, remodels, and special projects under the supervision of the Senior Store Design Manager. This includes the development and production of a complete Design Development set for all Design Review Meetings (DRMs) and issuance to the Architect of Record for construction documentation production.

Reports to: Senior Store Design Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Store Design Manager to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive CAD Design Development Set to Shared Services and the Architect of Record for construction document production
  • Create design details in CAD as part of the Design Development package
  • Assist in developing storefront renderings and interior perspectives using SketchUp or hand sketches when necessary under the direction of the Senior Store Design Manager
  • Work on multiple projects with variable timelines concurrently
  • Ensure accurate documentation of design revisions and changes
  • Create DRM meeting minutes and markups under the supervision and input of the Senior Store Design Manager
  • Create finish boards and other deliverables as necessary for ARBs, community approvals, LPC, HRB, AOR
  • Participate in Design Review Meetings as necessary to gain understanding of the evolution of new design concepts
  • Responsible for knowledge of schedules set by the Senior Store Design Manager and meeting all deadlines
  • Participate in design brainstorming sessions with the team
  • Assist in maintaining the CAD block library
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an architecture/design firm
  • Experience working on retail projects a plus
  • Experience in coordination of Architectural, Structural, MEP to facilitate Construction Drawing (CD) production
  • Experience in developing design details in CAD for drawing sets
  • Must be able to work creatively with others
  • Ability to work towards demanding deadlines, as well as being self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt when directions or priorities change on short notice
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Must be highly efficient in AutoCAD
  • Must be proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Programs, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to hand sketch
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel when necessary
