The Staff Assistant will be the principal communication professional for the chair of the department, focusing on the production of a variety of speeches, presentations and other written materials, including but not limited to forma remarks to internal stakeholder, written communication to employees and external stakeholders, and remarks, presentations to Penn-Medicine-wide organizations, funding agencies and corporate partners. He/she will assist with grant writing.
Accountabilities: Prepare presentations for delivery by Chair of Ophthalmology * Contributing articles for the Scheie Vision magazine * Write letters of recommendation, speeches and other official documents for Ophthalmology Department * Create literature reviews for research papers, with opportunity to be published * Collaborate with office management to support the office of the Chair
