Position Description

As a lead engineer you'll be working in support of the development of company products, tools, platforms, and services; operating within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines; applying knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems; and mentoring and guiding other software engineers within the team.

A successful candidate needs to be highly technical, with strong operations experience, and have hands on experience in defining high-availability, elimination of technical-debt.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required

  • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing

  • Participate in an Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks through Sprints

  • Collaborate and influence proactive system monitoring practices and strategies to help identify issues before any customer impact

  • Create a mindset and culture within the team that embraces identifying, owning, and solving issues, driving quality, improving performance, and improving the customer experience

  • Contribute to strategies to build knowledge bases, define metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and processes to drive efficiencies in issue identification and resolution

  • Collaborate with existing architecture, delivery, infrastructure and operations teams to address and implement solutions to identified issues

  • Maintain records of application changes and document them as compliance owner for Contact center

  • Work with vendors and products to help realize solutions for complex application requirements.

  • Ability to report the trend analysis and all required metrics to the leadership on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis

  • Exposure in handling severity issues and driving them to resolution in coordination with multiple technology teams

  • Ability to play the role of DevOps engineer and understand the need and implement the new platform upgrades as and when necessary

  • Coordinating with vendors (such as Genesys, Avaya, Cisco, NICE etc.) to identify resolutions for any product related gaps

  • Comfortable in an environment of rapid change and ambiguity with the ability to make decisions while understanding the risk

  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent disciplines with at least 5 years of experience

  • Strong understanding of Contact Center technologies with specialization in Genesys Suite of technologies including Framework, IVR(Interactive Voice Response), WFM (work force management), CTI, multi-media, Agent Desktop and intelligent workload distribution

  • 2 years of experience with (CI/CD) continuous integration / continuous delivery tools like Jenkins Pipeline, GitHub etc)

  • Prior experience in leading software development/engineering teams

  • Experience with VoIP communications, SIP communication protocols, and networking protocols.

  • Have strong knowledge in SDLC, project management, execution and delivery understanding with attention to detail around SLA metrics, accountability and operational excellence.

  • Prior experience supporting PCI, SOX, HIPPA, CPNI applications to ensure compliance as per industry standards

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have strong knowledge in SDLC, project management, execution and delivery understanding with attention to detail around SLA metrics, accountability and operational excellence.

  • Ability to exercise judgment to determine appropriate solutions to technical issues.

  • Ability to design patterns, to monitor application performance utilizing Splunk, Grafana or similar tools

  • Self-sufficiency and a drive to expand knowledge base beyond the required curriculum.

  • Experience using Cyara for call flow automation testing.

  • Previous experience with onsite and remote/offshore team member
