The Data Entry Keyer will be responsible for coding shipments by line item according to the BOL (Bill of Lading) to the correct GL codes within our Transportation Management System. A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team atmosphere is required. Excellent email correspondence, organizational skills and attention to detail is vital for this position. This position is entry level and training will be provided for the right candidate.
PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Coding shipments according to Bill of Lading
Working within the TMS
Data Entry (up to 80%)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
Perform data entry and coding according to the Bill of Lading
Interact with multiple departments to ensure shipments are billed to the correct GL code
Research & reconcile invoice errors
Spreadsheet data entry
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
Customer Relationship (Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures, etc.)
Carrier Relationship (Productive carrier relationship development, AP Discrepancy resolution, cover loads, handling and management of difficult situations, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
Knowledge of Microsoft Tools and other applications: Ability to leverage Excel and other MS programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook
Knowledge of Internet
