The Stern Center for Language and Learning (SCLL) is seeking an experienced psychologist to join our collaborative and highly experienced team of evaluators. Our evaluation team administers and interprets psychoeducational and/or developmental tests for children and adults to identify specific learning disabilities, attention deficit (ADHD), autism, intellectual giftedness, and learning differences. We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in language and reading. The position will provide the qualified applicant with an opportunity to train with national level specialist in the field of reading and reading disorders.

  • Expertise in performing cognitive and educational evaluations, interpreting and scoring results, and developing individualized recommendations to support improved personal and academic success
  • Experience and expertise in the diagnosis of autism and behavioral disorders
  • Strong clinical skills in differential diagnosis and research-based treatment of language/learning abilities and disabilities
  • Experience in the design of behavioral support plans in the home and at school
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and school teams
  • Strong writing skills


Master's or doctorate degree with specialization in language and learning disabilities, child development, and test construction and interpretation
