Job Description

If so, look no further than The Nature's Bounty Co. and our opening for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for championing the EHS function for one of our Manufacturing Facilities, which is a part of a growing organization within the upward trending Health and Wellness Industry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining compliance with EHS laws and regulations as well as The Nature's Bounty Company Corporate policy
  • Developing applicable EHS programs and audit for execution against the program requirements
  • Facilitating deployment of applicable EHS programs to the Manufacturing location
  • Leading EHS reviews for transition activities
  • Championing continuous improvement processes relating to six sigma safety, lean, digitized learning and operational excellence
  • Integrating and partner with business leaders demonstrating EHS value in creating a culture supporting prevention and compliance
  • Training teams on various safety discipline
  • Leading and participating in safety committee meetings
  • Be an active member of Plant Leadership Team and collaborate to meet objectives, goals, strategies, measures
  • Working cross-functionally with leaders to resolve workplace incidents and identify root cause
  • Analyzing trends and implement actions to address them


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in a Scientific, Environmental or Engineering field
  • Knowledgeable of EHS disciplines, sciences and regulations
  • Hands on, deep experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods, i.e. LEAN, TPM, 6 Sigma, TQM, with broad knowledge of these methodologies a plus
  • Ability to assess potential risks and to quickly identify appropriate corrective actions
  • A good understanding of business operations (business acumen) including project management skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Able to manage multiple sites with diverse issues and requirements
  • Ability to energize others to work toward the achievement of organizational goals and objectives
  • Strong Management of Change skills
  • Sense of urgency in short term goals
  • Ability to effectively listen, coach and provide guidance to different levels of the organization
