The purpose of the Director is to help lead launch into the Schizophrenia marketplace & position the product for long term commercial success. A flawless tactical execution at launch will be a key driver for rapid trial & uptake & will be an area of focus. The Director must partner with the sales team, lead & partner with cross functional team members & strategic partners. This individual must also be a problem solver who can identify issues & opportunities within a given market, develop strategies & work with internal & external partners to create strategic & operational plans to enable the operational marketing team to implement tactics aligned with the strategies & objectives. The Director, HCP Strategy leads HCP messaging & campaign evolution over time & is responsible for mobilizing all cross functional partners to ensure consistency in execution. The Director also supports the management of long-term product strategy by leading strategic brand planning in conjunction with brand lead.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Drives HCP and patient strategy and direction of the brand
  • Identifies obstacles to brand growth; works collaboratively with market access, medical affairs & other brand teams to resolve
  • Identifies & pursues opportunities to drive brand growth developing business cases to support additional budget & resources
  • Runs strategic brand planning, LRP & AOP process in collaboration with brand lead
  • Works collaboratively with HCP operational marketing team to ensure flawless execution
  • Partners with the sales force & sales leadership to develop & execute promotional efforts
  • Works closely with external experts on product differentiation & market insights
  • Manages marketing programs including convention activities & interactions with patient advocacy groups
  • Attends external customer meetings: advisory, medical, etc. representing the brand with key external customers
  • Manages key vendors, including Public relations, Medical education & advertising agencies
  • Manages overall and specific budgets (individual projects) to achieve defined targets
  • Qualifications

    Specific type of experience required

  • Minimum of 10 years Pharmaceutical Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years US Marketing Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years CNS and/or Injectable Experience
  • Launch experience
  • Bachelor s degree required; master s degree preferred.
  • Specific type of experience preferred

  • Pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience, or equivalent brand advertising experience
  • Demonstrated acumen in targeted or related therapeutic area (Psychiatry experience preferred)
  • Experience managing people and projects without direct reporting authority
  • Psychiatry and Schizophrenia are pluses.
