Reporting to the Section Chief of Hospital medicine, the Part-Time Per Diem Hospitalist will provide clinical services for Temple University's Section of Hospital Medicine.
The selected incumbent will be responsible for providing direct patient care, consultative and completion of transitions of care services for the inpatient service at the Episcopal Campus of Temple University Hospital, a 21 bed unit. and/or Temple University Hospital (TUH), a 746 bed tertiary and quaternary level acute care facility.
Additional responsibilities include: providing patient reports, as needed, and consistent with applicable University and Hospital policies, procedures and guidelines; and completing timely and accurate documentation, including professional fee billing. All clinical responsibilities and schedules will be determined by the Section Chief of Hospital Medicine. This position requires 12 hour evening/overnight and/or shifts. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
MD, DO or foreign equivalent along with successful completion of an accredited residency training program in Internal Medicine. Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine also required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to obtain a medical license for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to start date. * Eligibility to participate in 3rd party insurance programs. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
