The Epic Reporting position is responsible for the development and implementation of efficient clinical reporting; supporting application software; provides assistances in the overall development, implementation and maintenance of the various information and decision support systems. Recommends departmental policies; defines and implements strategies for projects or workgroup; and provides regular input into strategies for larger workgroup. May include projects; evaluation, training, and technical consulting services for faculty and staff, under the direction of management.
Assists in the development and implementation of efficient procurement techniques and procedures; supporting application software and decision support systems across a variety of platforms; provides assistances in the overall development, implementation and maintenance of the various reporting systems.
Regularly communicates and establishes relationships with internal and external contacts to present project status information; resolve issues; research, recommend and acquire products; and occasionally delivers formal presentation to professional organizations.
Solves complex problems and makes complex decisions within broad policies; impact is on department, project team and/or customer unit.
Identifies opportunities for performance improvement/ training and implements training initiatives. Assist in developing departmental policies; defining and implementing strategies for projects or workgroup managed. Uses complex analytical techniques; conducts best practice research; and recommends and ensures the implementation of creative modifications to complex, cross-functional work processes. Assists users in designing and writing queries; designs applications that facilitate the extraction and display of data. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree related field and at least 2 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
* Demonstrated knowledge of EMR system, AdHoc Reporting, File conversions, Clarity reporting * Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills. * Must be detailed oriented, self-motivator and have the ability to work independently.
* Epic Ambulatory knowledge, Project Management, Practice Operations, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Publisher and Adobe experience preferred.
