TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
* Scope: The supply chain professional population by site, region, BU, segment and sub category (i.e. master schedulers, planners) * Develop success profile, define and refine specifics competencies needed to achieve success across BU's * Build talent/capability heat maps for the global organization using the success profile as a baseline * Scope and develop training to enable success and lead training activities across the enterprise * Identify and communicate TE and industry best practices * Partner with other TEOA communities to understand key linkages and assure alignment (Operations, S&OP, Demand Management (from Product Management & Sales), Finance, Customer Care and Procurement) * Develop the TEOA path for supply chain building on best practice benchmarking (Standard work, Star Level requirements for tools and metrics) * Implement TEOA for supply chain with BU's, directly supporting with TEOA tool assessments and validations. * Report out supply chain progress and key projects to executive management and obtain sponsorship from the Global Operations Council. * Travel extensively (50-60%) to support BU's with evaluations, training, mentoring, road mapping, TEOA auditing and planning * Form and chair a supply chain planning council to create a sustainable planning community that drives enterprise improvement (develop the vision/mission, develop the aspirational goals, develop the council roadmap for improvements by rolling 4 quarters [people, process, infrastructure], develop and manage supply chain talent across the enterprise, review and support IT systems initiatives that addresses enterprise solutions, and coordinate enterprise wide training initiatives and rotational programs).
The successful candidate will be a \"change agent\" with an extensive background in supply chain planning / scheduling and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience, ideally including cross functional and cross business unit experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate previous success implementing sustainable supply chain planning process improvement in a complex, global, matrix organization where functional responsibilities are distributed across multiple business organizations. It is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates strategic thinking, is grounded in execution and has a strong customer focus in everything he/she does.
This individual will be an exceptional team player with the attributes of a mentor or teacher who can develop and build a performance-oriented organization. He/she will have solid executive presence and exceptional communications skills. Exceptionally strong drive, sense of urgency, energy level and problem-solving abilities will be critical for his/her success. The ability to work across all disciplines and throughout all levels of an organization in a persuasive and credible manner is a must and will enable effective interfacing with customers, suppliers, partners, distributors and internal peers. In addition to a career track of significant accomplishments, the successful candidate is expected to have strong academic credentials. A B.S. or M.S. in a relevant discipline is required and a M.B.A. is a bonus.
Functional and Technical Knowledge: The successful candidate has direct and recent experience implementing significant process & metric improvements in supply chain planning. He/she has a strong understanding of how to drive process improvement in companies with complex environments. Deep experience in supply chain planning and the systems that support these teams is needed.
