Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, the Director, Center-Led Global Procurement will provide functional leadership for all electronic and cable sourcing globally, as well as developing, managing and transitioning all supplier relationships. The role requires ability to collaborate to develop strategy and drive execution across ten TE Business Units (BU). This is a key leadership role that will be an important member of the Global Procurement Council and for leading high-level reviews with top leadership. This position will be responsible for Global Electronics team development and for driving TE Operating Advantage (TEOA - TE's Lean Business methodology) across his/her global team to achieve continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have desire and drive for upward mobility and exhibit the required values, performance, and behaviors to enable such.. Key Responsibilities. Global Sourcing (Procurement) for all Electronic and Cable Commodities. Develops global sourcing strategies for the Electronics and Cable commodity including sub-commodities, taking into account the business needs as well as optimizing the supply chain and minimizing total cost of acquisition.. Leads a Global Procurement team to identify, qualify, quote, negotiate and contract with all suppliers that provide electronic and cable commodities to the TE business unit of TE Connectivity.. Responsible to achieve annual goals for assigned KPIs including cost & material productivity, quality, delivery.. Responsible to lead idea generation and execution of ideas across all BU's to ensure a sustainable pipeline of material productivity initiatives.. Direct all activities for the Electronics commodity to ensure suppliers are compliant to global and regional regulatory or legal requirements (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc.). Deploy supplier scorecards on key suppliers. Ensure review of such scorecard and performance improvement with suppliers. Conduct annual business reviews with select, high-critical set of key suppliers.. Responsible for functional TEOA for the Electronics team and driving continuous improvement for Procurement and Electronics commodity.. Serve as the prime escalation point for all electronic and cable supply base issues or opportunities.. Participate and contribute, as a key to the Global Procurement Council initiatives.. In collaboration with Procurement peers, develop and execute talent development plans with direct responsibility for Global Electronics Procurement development and succession planning.. Responsible for project related procurement deliveries in the Lean-PD process through the Advanced Procurement team global network. Drive improvements in the Electronics and Cable supply base in collaboration with BU functions, Procurement, Quality, Supplier Development, etc.. Manage relations with all key or new Electronics and Cable suppliers including quarterly business reviews and new supplier development plans.. Works in accordance with the TE processes, values and behaviors.. Qualifications. At least 10 years of relatable Procurement/Sourcing, Supply Chain or Logistics experience, with at least 5 years of leading related teams in a global structure.. Prior experience and knowledge in electronics strongly preferred.. Possess strong and sound continuous improvement disciplines and convictions; Proven success in these areas is a must.. Proven track record that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results. Strong people & organizational leadership skills.. Excellent oral and written communication skills, includes staff, peers, suppliers, internal customers and leadership.. Ability to prioritize manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.. Very Strong problem-solving skills.. University degree in business related field, engineering or equivalent. Graduate degree in business (i.e. MBA, MS) is preferred.. Strong IT Skills: SAP, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
