The SAT/Due Diligence Team is a specialised unit within the middle office performing due diligence on the highest risk clients before approval.
SAT/DD is a team of individuals with specialised skills for reviewing highest risk clients. The team will also be a one-point contact for business functions for coordination and approval.
Jersey Retail Banking
Ensure CDD information completed by the maker is current and valid, as per the required standard
Client documents are complete and updated in core banking system
Assess adverse media searches carried out adequately
Quality of SOW and corroboration is adequate and carried out as required
Review the PEP assessment to ensure compliance to local and group standards
Follow-up on deferral and exception request proceed with or stop onboarding
People and Talent
Lead through example and represent the appropriate culture and values. Adhere to appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Ensure the provision of your ongoing training and development
Ensure effective operational risk management within Retail Bank with an emphasis on comprehensive identification and effective mitigation of significant operational risk exposures.
Ensure you adhere to proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely escalation and resolution of risk issues.
Help identify and Implement controls within business to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
Escalate to BORM & unit head any operational risk events
Work with stakeholders if necessary to ensure that all risks are mitigated
Ensure that you are always fully aware of the Banks CDD procedures and adhere to them .
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
