Unit Description


Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 ?to help suppor t a pharmaceutical?corporate services client i n Parcippany, NJ? . This? ?position will?directly supervise ?5 frontline (hourly) non-union Sodexo employees. This position will directly report into an Account General Manager overseeing the cafeteria, catering, coffee and micromarket operations.? This account is about 550 people now and will grow to up to 1400 people by July 2020. This location is part of a national piece of business and currently has 1 full service?cafe and does catering?across the 4 building campus. We will be adding 2 micromarkets by end of 2019 as well. This position will primarily work a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:30AM -3:30 PM with possible nights and weekends.




This position will provide leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. In addition, this candidate will also provide supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.

Key Duties


- Establishes a safe work environment


- Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships,? to ensure account retention


- Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes


- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met


- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan


- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and? regulatory agencies


-Assists with client catering events as needed.

In addition this candidate will have strong culinary skills, management experience, solid knowledge of HAACP/food sanitation and catering as well as excellent client ?and? customer relations and leadership skills.? Qualifications & Requirements


Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
