Sesame Workshop is looking for a Program Coordinator, International Projects . The coordinator will report to a Vice President in the International Social Impact Department at Sesame Workshop in New York City. We seek a detail-oriented and collaborative individual who will work closely with Sesame Workshop staff and partners to support program development, planning, and implementation of a variety of mass media, education, outreach, and public awareness initiatives globally. Geographically, this role will focus mainly on supporting Sesames work in Bangladesh and East Africa. The Coordinator will also support other departmental activities in countries where International Social Impact is engaged in educational initiatives. The right candidate must be able to work in our NYC Headquarters. Note: This is a 3-to-6 month contract position, with consideration to transition to full-time staff Responsibilities: Lead administrative processes to support programs in multiple countries and regions: Develop and manage timelines, workflows, and work plans Coordinate communication with multidisciplinary teams Arrange and schedule internal meetings and manage travel logistics Submit and track necessary documents through approval processes, such as legal contracts Track expenditures against budgets, submit invoices and compile expense reports Serve as liaison between team members both at the Workshop and locally in-country; provide information and follow-up on requests from internal and external partners Draft, update, and organize project assets: Support the drafting of presentations, planning decks, fact sheets, internal and external reports, concept notes, project plans, executive briefings, and brochures Work closely with the Philanthropic Development Department on materials to support fundraising and reporting Organize and maintain all project resources such as budgets, contact sheets, contracts, narrative and financial reports, and invoices Conduct desk research and synthesize information on local educational needs, social development contexts, mass media and digital landscape, and business development opportunities Qualifications: Bachelors degree or similar experience 1-2 years of relevant professional experience Experience working or living internationally Experience in project coordination Excellent written communication skills: analytical, polished, and precise Experience drafting compelling concept notes, presentation decks, proposals, project plans, and executive briefings Self-directed and takes initiative to accomplish goals Commitment to Sesame Workshops mission and core values Desired, but not required: Academic or professional experience in early childhood and primary school education Experience or demonstrated interest in media, childrens media, or marketing Familiarity with digital media ecosystem and innovation in emerging markets Passionate about international issues Department Overview - International Social Impact Sesame Workshops International Social Impact department develops and implements Sesames powerful initiatives to serve children and families around the world and builds partnerships to maximize reach and impact.
