This is a part-time hourly temporary position 3-6 months or longer depending on student enrollment. Provides general reception and office assistant functions which includes appointment scheduling for staff, inquiries from the general public, high school counselors, parents, and current and prospective Running Start students. Supports office duties and customer service for the Running Start office and other high school program's day-to-day operations.

* Customer service support for the Running Start program. Delivers information for program applicants. Such as information regarding program policies and activities, and performs a variety of customer service and departmental support functions via email, phone, and in person; * Drafts and types letters, memos, narrative and statistical reports; collects, assembles, and summarizes Running Start staff/student contact information and data; * Screens and responds to inquiries, questions, and correspondence on departmental matters via telephone, in person, and emails. * Assists students and staff with our book loan program which includes checking books in and out of the office, reconciling book vouchers, and organizing the Running Start book library on a quarterly basis. * Performs word processing tasks with MS Word such as merging and sorting documents and creating spreadsheets using database files with Excel; * Performs other duties as required
Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
* High school graduation or equivalent; * Two years clerical/office experience or equivalent combination; * Advanced MS word processing and Excel spreadsheet skills
