If you are looking for an opportunity as an Embedded Software Engineer spending time designing, writing and potentially testing embedded firmware, this position is for you!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead, and actively participate in, the specification, design, implementation, review, and test of complex, safety critical firmware/software systems.Understand hardware and software interactions, andinteractions and collaborate with Hardware / RTL Engineers.Lead, and actively participate in, the development of test design, code tests and documentation.Mentor Engineers, Associate Engineers, and Technicians.Serve as a technical contact for internal customers.Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.Understand. Create. Simplify.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsB.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; Advanced degree preferredTypically 6+ years of experience in most of the following areas:-- Embedded systems firmware design and development including:-- Hard real-time firmware design-- C++ and object orientedobject-oriented design-- C and assembly languages-- Test Automation-- PythonStrong writing, documentation, and speaking verbal communication skillsStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a very fast paced and close- knit team environmentAbility Desire to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications3-phase electric power systemsDigital and analog circuitryDigital communications and signal processingIndustrial controlsModern communications protocolsProject managementLocation InformationSEL s corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
