Position Overview: The Digital Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator is a full-time position whose primary duties are to provide written, technical, administrative and data support in the areas of Greater Philadelphia advisory organizations, volunteer programs, community outreach, special events, the Christmas campaign and related data management, website maintenance and serves as a Divisional resource for best practices and support in these areas.

* Provide written, technical, administrative and data support for Greater Philadelphia Advisory organizations (Board and Echelon) under the direction of the Divisional Secretary for Greater Philadelphia and the Community Engagement Manager.? Provide written, technical, administrative and data support for Philadelphia volunteer coordination and serve as a resource for volunteer development and best practices Divisionally.? Work in partnership with the Divisional Marketing Team to update the Greater Philadelphia webpage with volunteer opportunities, event information and digital promotions.? Spearhead University Digital Fundraising Support.? Recruit and support management of volunteers for Greater Philadelphia programs, Corps and activities.? Support an effective volunteer recruitment program with written and technical assistance.? Write and/or assist in developing written volunteer opportunities for all corps and programs of The Salvation Army in Greater Philadelphia.? Work in conjunction with the Divisional Compliance and Volunteerism Manager and the Divisional Human Resource staff for processing and maintaining a database for all volunteer clearances and trainings.? Deliver volunteer contact data to donor database administrator and maintain volunteer constituent list for systematic communication and stewardship. Review list for accuracy quarterly.? Under the direction of the Director of Brand Marketing and Community Engagement, coordinate details of special events and the Christmas Campaign for The Salvation Army in Greater Philadelphia from start to finish, including securing venues, set-up, catering, staff assignments, vendor relationships, AV, maintenance, clean-up. ? Support the Community Engagement Manager in conducting mailings, follow-up, database updates, invitations, timely acknowledgements in cooperation with the Divisional Database Team.? Support the Director of Brand Marketing and Community Engagement in the development of promotional items, digital, printed materials and other details relevant to the successful implementation and completion of special events and campaigns.? Systematically develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases that are Special event specific.? Deliver event and volunteer constituent data to data team for input into database.? Support the Divisional Secretary for Greater Philadelphia and Advisory Board in the development of an annual calendar of events for Greater Philadelphia.? Support the recruitment of volunteer leadership groups (ie. committees) in support of peer to peer solicitation strategies for digital campaigns and events (ie, Table Sponsorships, Giving Tuesday, Christmas Campaign, etc).? Utilize Classy and/or Mobile Cause platforms for special events and the Christmas Campaign.? Provide giving reports for Classy and Mobile Cause giving.? Perform other tasks as needed, are appropriate, and assigned.


* Minimum BS or BA degree, in relevant field such as Business or Sales Marketing and a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience. Master's Degree in relevant field preferred.? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to relate effectively, reliably and professionally with corporate professionals and others? Must be able to effectively multitask with deadlines and follow through consistently and strategically? Must be well-organized, proactive, able to work independently and follow-up accordingly. ? Must be computer proficient, able to easily and effectively use email, Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite and donor and volunteer management software.? Must demonstrate good judgement, leadership characteristics and work well as part of a team. Able to work effectively and in harmony with officers, staff and volunteers.? Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as needed, flexible on scheduling (including attendance at early morning, evening or weekend meetings/events.? Adherence to the AFP Code of Ethics. ? Adherence to TSA's Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.? As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reportingchild abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter.? Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.?
