We are looking for a to oversee the operational planning, establishment, execution and evaluation of a multifaceted program consisting of a closely related subprograms and associated activities.
Oversees strategic planning, fiscal, operational, procurement, administrative, and human resources management of the program; serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise.
Some travel may be required, but is not expected to exceed 10%.
Oversee effective operations of program team, assessing, measuring, and improving operational processes
Assign, track, and govern special projects, action items, and tasks
Provide strong functional management and team leadership for on-site management team and professionals
Ensure quality and consistency of deliverables
Manage Contract Requirements to ensure contract compliance
Ensure schedules are developed, sustained, and utilized to ensure on-time delivery
Promote technical and operational excellence using disciplined engineering practices
Understand budgets and work with Business Management to oversee financial performance
Working with representatives from many support organizations including: Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, Global Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and others
Represent program at Department and Division leadership meetings M.S. in related discipline 12 years of practical experience including at least 2 years of experience in managing a major program or department PMP certification At a minimum must have an active Secret clearance Prior experience with DHS * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
