The Sr. Counsel Compliance will report to the Global Legal Compliance Director located in Amsterdam and will have a dotted line to the Area General Counsel located in New Jersey. The Sr. Counsel Compliance will ensure strong compliance program is implemented in RB North America HyHo and will help find creative and/or pragmatic solutions to compliance problems that arise while balancing legal compliance risks against business interests. Key Responsibilities Responsible for all NA compliance (antitrust, antibribery, data protection, data privacy and other areas according to the Global Compliance strategy), training, risk assessment, governance scorecards, Speak Up investigations and presenting compliance to the NA HH leadership team. Significant role working with the Global Legal Compliance Director in Amsterdam and the Area General Counsel in Parsippany in the design and development of the RB HyHo Global compliance program as well as the implementation of the country compliance programs in the US and Canada. Responsible for Data Privacy regulations compliance remediation and business as usual support, implementing privacy by design, working in cooperation with other HyHo Compliance managers, Global Legal Compliance director and Group Data Privacy office. Development for the US and Canada of written policies, procedures, practice directions, training and education as well as related communication, monitoring and reporting to the Area and RB HyHo Headquarters. Assist with monitoring the evolving federal, state and industry guidelines affecting the company s overall NA compliance program and adopting and implementing processes and procedures in order to ensure ongoing compliance. Responsible for implementing global policies and procedures, and maintaining NA Governance scorecard for reporting at the Governance forum. Travel to Canada, Amsterdam or other locations as needed and if relevant budget is available.. Is this You? Interpersonal skills, intelligence, and the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and cogent manner are the most important qualifications. Other requirements for this position include: Attorney licensed to practice in the US with 5 years [BI1]compliance experience (in the consumer products industry is a plus). Member in good standing with at least one US state bar and the ability to serve as corporate counsel in New Jersey. Quick thinking, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external senior management, solving problems on a real-time basis. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem solving skills. Strong desire to learn the business and function smoothly as part of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to function with a minimum of administrative support.
