Reporting to the Director, Global Forecast, Finance Business Analyst assists the Director with business analytics, decision support, and process management of the company s internal (i.e., management) reporting, comparing performance to budget, prior year, and projection. In this role you will also assist the director in reporting / tracking of capital expenditures across the Qurate Retail Group portfolio. Work will be done independently or in conjunction with other members of the team / department, as required. This individual is in a unique position to see and help explain the full Global P&L and business drivers to a large internal audience, including Senior / Executive Management. The position is based at the headquarters location in West Chester, PA

Actuals reporting: Assist with the reporting, consolidation, and analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast to Executive team and Liberty (parent company).
Assistance with coordination of global monthly forecast exercise, includes managing calendar of deliverables and reporting templates / summaries for the markets in Excel, PowerPoint, and in SAP-Business Planning & Consolidation (i.e., SAP-BPC).
Business review meetings: Assist with development of general materials and templates to support business review meetings.
Budget development:Assist with development of the Global Budget and LRP (Long Range Planning) process, including calendar of deliverables.Coordinate across markets, global functions (e.g., Supply Chain, etc, ) and Accounting to deliver on-time, accurate, and complete updates. Coordination and development of the consolidated budget financial statements (i.e., income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) and associated models.Development and manipulation of top-down budget and forecast guidance for the enterprise, consistent with country portfolio roles and historical/macro-economic analysis. Includes working in a multi-currency environment.
Assist with coordination of global forecast exercises, including Go-Gets, What-Ifs, and scenario planning during the Budget, LRP and throughout the year. Be able to articulate business drivers in a clear and compelling way that influences the Executive team
Helping to support Investor Relations: Support of Investor Relations with various activities including, but not limited to: quarter-end earnings release, comparison of internal projections vs. analysts consensus; and investor-focused presentations.
Identify process improvement opportunities on business planning by leveraging prior experience and knowledge.
Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Approximately 2-5 years of experience working in a corporate finance, business analysis and / or business consulting environment
Experience with internal financial reporting and consolidation
A sense of urgency, strength of conviction, and a desire to work closely as a partner with members of the department, other geographies, and the company s management team
Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities in a changing environment
Ability to compile and analyze data from various sources, identify trends and anomalies, and develop and communicate insights / big-picture stories
Strong financial acumen, which includes a complete understanding of how the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow interrelate
Understanding of / knowledge of key financial concepts and accounting standards, such as:Net present value calculations (or other valuation methodologies)Accrual based accountingGeneral knowledge of GAAPAppreciation for the potential impact of business strategies and decisions
Advanced to highly advanced skills in MS Excel (e.g., pivots, various data functions)
Retail industry experience (i.e., inventory-based business model) preferred
