As a Managing Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Proactively lead the practise by establishing strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines * Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to develop and sustain extensive client relationships * Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities and sell potential service offerings * Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria * Manage and deliver large projects by defining resource requirements and developing the project team, assesing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team * Responsibility for management of engagement financials * Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching, creating an atmosphere of trust and diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation
The Managing Director will be part of the Global Independence function and lead the operations of global Independence Center(s) of Excellence (CoE) and its relationships with the business. Experience leading a [virtual] global services operation supporting a global business is essential.

Demonstrates extensive thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:
* Define and implement CoE vision and strategy with the Global Independence leadership team; * Oversee the day-to-day CoE operations (in multiple global sites across the PwC Network) including demand for CoE services, resources, and issue resolution and periodically report to the Global Independence leadership team; * Identify the need for and oversee any significant investments (infrastructure, IT, etc.); * Oversee the Service Level Agreement(s) (SLA), the CoE's adherence to the SLA and periodic reporting to the service recipients and the Global Independence leadership team; * Establish and maintain a mechanism for the CoE to stay connected to the business and other global network independence leaders on new service offerings and regulatory changes and other items that impact the services provided by the CoE; * Lead, coach and review the performance of CoE resources, operating on a cross-border, virtual basis; * Foster a collaborative environment where industry leading practices are shared and encouraged amongst CoE, Regional Leaders and all SEC specialists; and, * Demonstrate effective project management skills, including management of service demand and available resources across the global Network.
