Providence is calling a Revenue Analyst to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA .

The Revenue Analyst position is part of the Reimbursement Financial reporting team specializing in revenue analysis. The Reimbursement team is responsible for all accounting and analytics regarding revenue for PSJH's $24b revenue portfolio. The Revenue Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex revenue streams and understanding financial impacts that arise. Proactively identifies potential issues through forward looking analytics.

In this position you will:

  • Assist in analyzing complex revenue streams and drawing conclusion regarding key drivers.

  • Assist in communicating findings to key stakeholders and conduct monthly review calls.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Reimbursement Department and ministry finance leaders.

  • Perform basic financial analysis and provide technical support for Reimbursement leadership, as requested.

  • Communicate revenue results to levels of leadership ranging from local leadership to senior system leadership.

  • Assist in Identifying and implement policy and procedural changes to ensure optimal revenue recognition and compliance with internal and external requirements.

  • Assist in evaluation and preparation of various reimbursement optimization strategies and makes recommendations that positively impact existing reimbursement schemes.

  • Participate and influence decisions in special projects and provide analytical support for Reimbursement, Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership.

  • Keeps the Manager apprised of issues within the office and seeks assistance in a timely manner such that critical deadlines are kept.

  • Provide innovative outside the box thinking to complete complex multi-faceted analysis.

  • Maintain Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental payment rates and factors.

  • Perform analysis of the relationship between accounts receivable valuation as it relates to actual vs estimated results and potential impacts to the income statement. Participate in quarterly revenue audits as needed.Providing concise and clear documentation in a timely manner.

  • Assist regional and system finance teams in forecasting and annual net revenue budget process.

  • Qualifications:

    Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, data science, or Mathematics/Statistics is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the health care finance or related field

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work effectively to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and management through positive interaction.

  • Demonstrated planning and project skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Understanding of the technical aspects of net revenue payment methodologies, data analytics, DRG & APC calculations, data warehouse querying, ERP to financial system data streams, and payor contracting terminology.

  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools (ie Tableau/SAP Hana).

  • Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for acute care entities
