We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead our opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serves as primary resource to CEO in corporate strategic planning process.
  • Manages all financial administration aspects including but not limited to:Budgeting and financial reporting for business units Leading budget v. actual variance reviews and developing and implementing corrective measures if necessary.Responsible for development and ongoing review of cost allocations to all businesses.Responsible for insuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.Responsible for review of all contracts and on-going compliance with terms of all agreements.Leads the capital budgeting team process and monitors capital spending.
  • Oversee Controller and accounting department in general ledger, accounts receivable, payables, end of month close out, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Lead and Oversee Inventory Control team including setting open to buy budgets, strategizing buys to stay on budget, and support inventory turns
  • Lead and oversee Product Safety and Compliance team in initiatives and budgeting.
  • Oversee logistics team and freight costs international and domestic
  • Oversee 3PL warehouse strategy and strategic initiatives with partner for needs of businessAssist CEO with special projects including:Preparation of annual budgets and related revisionsFiling of census reports and miscellaneous surveysStrategic long-range planningOther projects as necessary
  • Provides consistent positive feedback and awareness of development opportunities to team and managers through effective coaching and training. Administers progressive discipline actions in a confidential and consistent manner as appropriate.
  • Insures that mid-year and year end performance reviews are completed accurately and administered in a timely manner.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    The requirements listed below represent the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, to perform job function:

    Experience/Education

  • A. or B.S Degree in Accounting or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 10 years plus experience in operations departments; preferably experience working in the retail industry
  • Knowledge in Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Previous experience and understanding of supply chain management, logistics, purchasing, inventory management, forecasting, and replenishment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting software tools. Experience with general ledger and fixed assets accounting software. High level expertise in Excel.
