Provide customer service by triaging requests per priority while supporting the Narcotics Area. Research medication order issues and facilitate their resolution by providing exceptional customer

Triage customer service requests by department, urgency and information/response required.
Field customer complaints, issues and concerns and escalate accordingly
Answer incoming customer calls
Obtain information, explain available products or services
Respond to inquires
Collect, prioritize and sort incoming faxes to the appropriate department/area
Communicate with other pharmacy departments via email, phone or fax regarding patient changes received from facilities
Coordinate/manage STAT order process (check e-kit lists)
Assist team members/department as needed to meet workflow deadlines and/or complete projects
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA
Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected
Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

There is no supervisory responsibility for this position
This position operates in a long-term care facility. This role may use standard office and/or pharmacy equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rolling carts, fax machines and etc. A large portion of work shall be performed in the long-term care facility where the noise may be loud.

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician in the State; active registration with the State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Good oral communication skills
Long Term Care experience preferred
Previous Retail Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy experience accepted
Knowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications and Sig codes
Moderate to advanced computer skills required
Framework/DocuTrack knowledge a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interpret information
Ability to maintain composure on the phone when handling customer calls
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment Preferred:
