CVSD Nurse will provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients in
the Cardiac Step Down Unit. The registered nurse is also responsible for the
direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care.
Working primarily with Post Procedural, Surgical Cardio Patients, Cardiac
Patients, and Surgical Vascular Patients.

- Minimum of 1 year experience or
equivalent calculated experience in military or civilian
Navy Hospital Corpsman, 66
Series Army Nurse/Medic/Medical Specialist, Coastguard Health Services
Technician, Airforce 46 series Nurse or 4XXXX Series Enlisted Medical and
Aerospace Medical Services.
**Qualified Active Duty Military, Reserves or Veteran / Spouse of Active
Duty Military, Reserves or Veteran or Veteran Spouse
- FL RN License and/or approved multistate license, if compact license held,
active FL RN license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications thru American Heart Association
- Basic knowledge of EKG and 12-Lead EKG interpretation
- Knowledgeable of cardiac drips preferred
- Current NIHSS or ASLS certification required after hire
- One year of Cardiac Step Down Unit experience preferred for PRN
- Education: Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
