Orion Industries, a Boeing supplier and award-winning aerospace manufacturer and community enriching organization, is hiring an Aerospace Paint Line Assistant to provide part mark, packaging, and other paint prep support for its finish line. In addition to playing a critical role in getting airplanes in the sky, this position will play a part in supporting Orion's mission of providing training opportunities to people that need help in our community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Performs minor manual touchup of primers and topcoats using paintbrush or similar tool
* Selection, installation and removal of masking materials
* Perform setup of part marking equipment using written instructions from work order
* Apply part identification to details and assemblies using stencils, rubber stamps, inkjet and tags
* Verify Part counts against work order
* Make bags using roll tubing, cutters and bag sealers
* Place parts in bags according to written instructions
* Ability to visually identify defects in workmanship regarding finishes, physical damage and part identification
* Meet Orion safety and quality system requirements
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Process work within performance and delivery requirements:
* Meet established productivity standards
* Follow communicated job priority instructions
* Communicate production delays and problems to appropriate supervision
* Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives
* Participate in team and company meetings
* Role model proper work ethics and behaviors
* Role model proper hygiene and dress

Qualifications:

* Basic understanding of engineering drawings and interpretation
* Mathematical and measurement skills
* Ability to interpret work instructions and specifications
* Demonstrated shop math skills
* Organizational ability
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to work independently as well as collectively
* Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers

This is a full time day shift position working Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.
