The Product Technician will provide assistance to Product Managers in many areas of product line maintenance and analysis including, but not limited to: \"pop codes,\" item descriptions, item master updates, label printing, interchange accuracy, and line definition. Process \"product alerts\" to completion. Responsible for monitoring label and UPC issues and billing vendors for store and DC labor expense. Essential Job Functions Obtain and process item load information from our suppliers and working with our Product Managers on how to set them up in our systems. Review and process Product Alerts that we receive from our stores and distribution centers (\"DCs\") on inventory-related issues. Review and process obsoleted and superseded stock keeping units (\"skus\") from supplier submissions. Monitor label and UPC issues at the store and DC level. Assist the Inventory Maintenance Manager on additional projects as needed. Skills and Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Must be self-motivated, hardworking, results-oriented. Being a team player capable of handling multiple projects is a must. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent spreadsheet abilities, preferably Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Query and query functions. Appropriate math skills. Auto parts background is preferred.
