We have multiple openings and are looking for software, hardware, and embedded systems engineers; security system researchers; and applied cryptographers. You will help us create advanced technologies for ensuring security and resiliency of next-generation mission-critical systems relevant to National Security. Examples of such systems include both cyber-physical systems (e.g., drones, satellites, and industrial control systems) and pure cyber systems (e.g., cloud computing and privacy-preserving information sharing). You will assist in the study, development, and prototyping of new technologies in secure computing, storage, and communication areas, and ultimately the transfer of such technologies to DoD and Intelligence Community users and to industry. Your initial project assignment will take into account the preferences and interests you express during the interview. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Security, System Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:design/development in C/C++, Java, Python, and/or Rust; familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, and testing. analysis, modeling, design, development, testing, and verification of embedded systems (C, VHDL, Assembly, etc.). analysis, architecture, design, implementation, and measurement of secure sub-systems and systems. academic or professional research experience and/or publications in the areas of computer security, resiliency, and/or cryptographyawareness of cryptography models and techniquesawareness of government and industry computer security / cryptography standards The passion to convert vision into reality, excellent work ethic, and effective communication skills are essential. Desired Knowledge includes one or more of the following:System engineering. Computer and software security. Familiarity with or interest in secure programming. Multi-core/multi-thread computing.Operating system internals, OS-level middleware, distributed systems, and network protocols. Data-structures, state-machines, and algorithms.Advanced and applied cryptography, security protocols, such as Multi-Party Computation.Embedded and hardware systems security, Real-time systems security, Industrial Control Systems (ICS)/SCADA.Moving target defense techniques: Dynamic Runtime Environment, Networks, Platforms, Software, and Data.Embedded systems, processor, and microelectronics design lifecycle, fab, and verification (FPGA and/or ASIC).Cloud computing technologies, virtualization, Web services, advanced database technologies, and automation techniques.Communication protocols at chip, board, and system levels. Co-design and integration of software and hardware, IP cores, sensors, system-on-chip design and verification.
