This position is responsible for maintaining the company's aircraft in accordance with FAA guidelines. S/he will perform preventive maintenance including the diagnosis of electrical and mechanical issues, the replacement of defective and worn parts, and the inspection of company aircraft before and after flight.
* 5+ years of aircraft maintenace experience * Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility. * Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards. * Works overtime as needed. * Works independently delivering on routine but progressively more non-routine work, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately. * Makes routine and progressively more non-routine decisions independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. * Shares a diverse range of knowledge and information and/or enables less experienced team members to perform his/her assignments. * Performs a diverse range of tasks/transactions related to common programs and services by directly applying expanded knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly more complex situations. * Performs general maintenance on company aircraft including the diagnosis of electrical and mechanical issues and the replacement of defective and worn parts. * Moves and or tows the Company's aircraft(s). * Conducts preflight and post flight checks of the aircraft(s); makes repairs as necessary. * Fuels the aircraft in compliance with NATA training. * Monitors and maintains the fuel farm and inventories. * Cleans and restocks the aircraft. * Assists passengers of the aircraft and provides a high standard of customer service. * Writes reports and maintains records on the preventive maintenance work performed. * Provides support and service to pilots and passengers using the aircraft. * Maintains hangar facility, tools and equipment ensuring a cleanly environment for passengers. * Recognizes complex safety issues/concerns for assigned area(s) of responsibility and suggests process improvements. * Possesses and develops an advanced understanding of aviation safety and housekeeping practices.
* Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations. * Ability to work with others in a team environment. * Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements. * Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail. * Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers. * Demonstrated solid relationship management skills with internal and/or external clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers). * Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style. * Strong knowledge of aviation fuel types and line service ground handling procedures. * Able to accomplish detailed tasks and record work. * Demonstrates high mechanical aptitude.
