The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing all manufacturing related functions within the Manufacturing Organization involved in producing precision parts, maintaining equipment, performing set-ups, and completing change-over processes.
The Manufacturing Manager will provide training, leadership, and guidance to all personnel within his organization, including Manufacturing Engineers, and their respective group(s), or cell(s), of CNC Manufacturing Engineering Technicians, Class 1 and Class 2 Machinists, and Manufacturing Assistants.
As a Manufacturing Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Plan, schedule, organize and estimate production operations
Develop Control by Maintaining and encouraging formal and informal feedback to measure daily progress.
Use of CAD/CAM software and advanced machine shop mathematics
Generate CNC programs for assigned product lines using CAD/CAM software and/or manual programming methods. Macro programming will be required in some instances.
Create, update and maintain manufacturing documents and information
Initiate improvements in CNC programming techniques to improve processing and/or part quality.
Supports Manufacturing (i.e. Milling, Turning, Drilling, Polishing, Debur, Cleaning etc.) in the areas of process development, tool design, machinery & equipment acquisition and layout of operations.
Maintain production goals through attention to the machining process from start to finish.
Lead by example
Setup machines for production, and manage a team of self-sufficient machinists to achieve production goals
Responsible for quality control of all manufactured parts within the cell.
Experience and Skills:
At least five (5) years strong CNC programming, statistical methods, and CAD programs.
At least three (3) years CNC machining experience working several machines simultaneously, specifically Mazak 5 Axis Milling
At least three (3) years managing teams
Experience in mentoring and coaching Machinists
A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
