The successful candidate will be leading software development for controls and automation software platforms (NPI and sustaining) and providing support to major customer accounts. The candidate that is selected will be expected to lead with integrity, clear direction and vision, and to produce and support high-quality products to appropriate software engineering standards, design methodologies and architecture for demanding customers.Utilize Agile Principles in developing and managing software, including development iterations, teamwork, collaboration, and process adaptability throughout the life-cycle of the product.Collaborate closely with Product Owners (TPM) to manage product backlogs and product releases.Determine how products will meet constraints and qualities (non-functional requirements) that customers and stakeholders care about.Share knowledge in an open and facilitating way, implement feedback from colleagues, coach assigned resources, vary style to accommodate and develop the best in individuals and teams.Use network to pull together experts as needed to support customers.Build and maintaining long term customer relationships.Maintain a strong awareness of trends in the software industry and use that knowledge when making decisions to support the growth and evolution of the group.Drive strategic development improvements to enhance software engineering practices.Ensure that the strategic impact of new ideas reflect a balanced multi-group perspective.Effectively use single source of truth collaboration tools and processes.Work in a collaborative manner with other engineering and product managers (local and globally) to achieve wider team cohesion.Lead deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes based on rigid release plans. RequirementsB.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or related disciplineProven experience working as a Scrum Master delivering full lifecycle software projectsStrong technical aptitude, especially in software architecture and designStrong knowledge of current software industry trendsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDesired SkillsProven history of applying modern agile principles and CI/CD principles.Demonstrated success developing and managing software within an agile environment.Skilled in presenting complex problems and solutions in simple terms to a variety of audiences, and communicating development status appropriately to team and stakeholders.Expert skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.Experience in setting up continuous process improvement across the organization with a mindset of raising the bar.Experience in creating software development metrics and KPIs to drive performance and quality.Ability to partner with software suppliers to gain a broad knowledge base and be in a position to support procurement in software licensing negotiations.Desire to be an advisor and influencer in future software development areas, processes, tools and project management techniques, with a hunger for constant learning, as well as continuous self and team improvement.
