HUSO is the fine casual dining room located behind Marky s Caviar highlighting the gourmet products available in our retail shop. At night HUSO is a caviar speakeasy, where Executive Chef Buddha Lo executes an eight-course tasting menu with caviar incorporated into every dish.
We are looking for a member who will assist the chef in all prepping stages, someone who is a quick learner and is passionate about food and will be comfortable in taking over for chef when need be. The main product you will be working with on a daily basis is caviar, any knowledge or innovative dish ideas brought to the table is a plus.
You will be working in a small team closely with the chef and a handful of servers, in a fun professional environment. This position is demanding, with a serious approach first class to customer service, quality of product and food.
We are looking for full-time Chef de Parties who:

Understanding of general knife skills & classical cooking techniques
Assist chef in placing orders
Prepping for brunch/lunch/dinner service
Be able to follow and uphold the cleanliness of the kitchen and NYC DOH standard
Minimum 2 years restaurant experience in this role
Understanding of proper NYC DOH sanitation standards
Positive attitude in the workplace
Ability to work/stand for 8-10 hours a day and to carry up to 20lbs occasionally
Ability to work and keep your workspace clean and uphold the standards of the restaurant
Ability to work late nights and holidays as required
NYC Food Handler's License

Work Environment + Physical Responsibilities:
Continuous interaction with customers, the chef and co-workers
You are not allowed to use your phone during a working shift
We receive deliveries daily of fresh product, need be you might need to receive + lift a box 5-20 pounds max and put the products away.
The safe and proper handling of slicers, knives, ovens, coffee machines and kitchen utensils.
Exposures (temporary) to extreme temperatures (ovens, freezer, cooler, etc.)
Chefs shirt and proper (non-slip) shoes
When working in the kitchen w will provide you with our logo baseball hat
No earring, rings, bracelets or facial piercings are allowed to be worn during your shift
You can wear a Marky s baseball cap during the AM shift
