Recognized as the clinical expert in Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, Maternal Fetal Medicine and NICU patient care services and is a leadership role model for Registered Nurses and all staff under their direction. The Clinical Resource Leader directs the work to ensure the overall movements of patients through the unit are managed in a safe, efficient manner. The Clinical Resource Leader will support team members while ensuring quality and performance excellence to patients. He/she will also facilitate solutions for challenging patient care situations. The Clinical Resource Leader is considered a professional role model and clinical expert in regards to Obstetrical and Neonatal Nursing. The Clinical Resource Leader will collaborate with the unit manager and educator to monitor and maintain staff performance and patient outcomes. He/She will also be the acting Manager in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Internal Candidate Associates Degree in Nursing & enrolled in a BSN Program External Candidate Bachelors Degree in Nursing
2 years of experience in clinical area. Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Current Connecticut RN license Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required.
Internal Candidate Bachelors Degree in Nursing External Candidate - Masters Degree in Nursing
3 years of experience in clinical area Licensure, Certification, Registration American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANNC) certification in psychiatry/mental health
