Position Summary:. The Application Director is the leader of the relocation, acquisition support teams and is essential to the successful management of services to support a great customer experience. The Application Director is a champion and ambassador for the project, continuously promoting the value of the ITS Services being provided to the customer and aligning those services to ensure a successful go live.. Position Responsibilities:. Builds a winning team through the selection and hiring of a high performing team with the optimal mix of knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully achieve outcomes. Participates in the day to day management of team members including prioritization of work, coordination of resources, and performance management and development of staff. Accountable for managing the scope, schedule, and quality of the project within their respective area. Collaborates with Project Managers to create and maintain work plans, issues list, decision lists, risks and status reports. Accountable for ensuring delivery of services produced by the respective team/area of responsibility; including but not limited to requirements, workflow, software functionality and integration. Ensures the design, validation sessions and build of the applications meet established standards and organizational needs. Facilitates development of integrated workflows by working closely with the project team, subject matter experts and technical leads to define processes that cross applications and functional areas. Collaborates and consults with the program director, project managers and other Application Directors to coordinate activities. Engages the clinical and business community to ensure their voices are heard, their needs are met and they are kept informed of project progress. Demonstrates competency sufficient to provide assistance to application coordinators to meet milestone dates or other project requirements. Collaborates with vendor resources; plays an active role in managing the progress of the project on an ongoing basis.. Understands the operational issues within their area well enough to represent their users' needs to all the Delivery Teams.. Qualifications. Associates degree with at least ten (10) years relevant experience in a challenging healthcare environment. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or a Clinical area is preferred.. At least five (5) years relevant experience in a challenging healthcare environment; with a minimum of five (5) years of departmental leadership experience required.. Must attend required Epic training. Proven ability to successfully lead teams through significant change and tight timeframes. The Application Director exhibits the following qualities:.
