Are you energized by the challenge of shaping and accelerating the scientific expertise of a biology program? If so, this Scientific Investigator opportunity could be an exciting opportunity to consider.

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist with experience working in cellular and molecular biology with specific emphasis in immunology. You will be joining a high-functioning team of scientists. The scientist will support drug discovery programs with a focus on running established protocols as well as developing new assays to interrogate pharmacology of novel modulators of innate immune targets. The selected candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and organizational skills, present results at team and project meetings, and maintain accurate records.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PhD in Immunology or a relevant area of biology with 2+ years post-doctoral experience in an immunology environment.
  • Cell/Molecular biology experience.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results in a timely fashion.
  • Excellent communication skills: Key skills include verbal and written communications, with the ability to present to internal department meetings.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively and meet timelines successfully with the utmost attention to detail, setting high performance standards.
  • Flexible, focused, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific data.
  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
  • Design and execution of new and established methods and protocols.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Strong track record in cellular and molecular biology
  • Technical expertise in primary cell culture
  • Technical expertise in FACS analysis
  • Technical expertise in running ELISA/MSD, transfection and transductions, cell based assays, and pharmacodynamic assay development.
  • Experience with in vivo models of inflammatory disease
  • Independent, self-starting and supportive of team-based research.
  • Previous experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical drug discovery
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery processes, including small/large molecule development.
