As part of a high-functioning care team, the CRMA carries out designated resident care and administers medications and treatments consistent with orders and in compliance with facility policies and procedures and DHHS regulations. The CRMA reports to the facility Administrator.

This facility expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION and PATIENT CARE
* Administers ordered medications and treatments to assigned residents. * Follows all steps in administering medication in accordance with all FAH policies and procedures related to medication administration, correct resident, medication, dosage, form, and time * Maintains accurate documentation of all medications and treatments on assigned residents. * Assist with returning, destroying, and ordering medications. * Audits for outdated medication and for any projected shortage of medications or supplies. * Makes suggestions to resolve problems or streamline medication system. * Assists with transfers, ambulation and toileting of residents. * Performs all routine duties of direct care staff as required or assigned. * Keeps medication cart clean and stocked with house medications, cups, straws, spoons, etc. * Reports any change in the residents' condition or other pertinent information. * Keeps Charge Nurse informed of any unusual incidents or changes in resident's condition. * Demonstrates initiative by seeking and accepting new assignments and responsibilities. * familiar with and follows the facilities policies and procedures. * Promotes and maintains positive relationships with peers and Residents and works collaboratively with all departments. * Meets the nursing care needs of each Resident in accordance to each individualized care plan, reports any changes to supervisor. * Ability to remain pleasant, cheerful, tactful, and courteous at all times. * Observe and report resident condition by monitoring vital signs; recording intake and output; reviewing resident care plan and records patient information into the medical record. * Meets residents' needs by promoting highest level of independence. * Completes assignments in a timely, safe, and thorough manner. * Ability to cooperate with other personnel and to resolve interpersonal conflicts with minimal assistance. * Willingness to accept suggestions and supervision from supervisor. * Principles of infection control and prevention are consistently followed. Demonstrate adherence to universal precautions and exposure control plan/ Personal protective equipment when appropriate. * Ability to be flexible and work other units and shifts as needed and assists other departments as needed. * Any duties that are deemed necessary to manage the overall well-being of the Residents.
* High school diploma * The CRMA must have completed a training approved by the Department of Health and Human Services of no less than forty (40) hours. * Experience with, and desires to care for people, especially those who are older and chronically ill. * Focus on a high-level of customer service. * Ability to work with independence, flexibility, good judgment, verbal communication, nursing skills, creating a safe environment, positive customer relationships.
