Ferry County Health (FCH), located in picturesque Republic, WA, is looking for a leader for our Hospital Nursing team.
We are in search of qualified, experienced Chief Nursing Officer who has a BSN from an accredited college or university, has a State of WA RN license, and must have 3 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of acute care, long term care, and emergency room nursing, and 3-5 years supervisory and management experience in healthcare setting. Current ACLS certification, PALS, TNCC, NRP helpful. Critical Access experience very encouraging.
Must demonstrate clinical competencies, and leadership ability, and have knowledge and understanding of WAC. s and other applicable regulations, as well as experience in strategic business planning.
Qualified candidate must also display honesty, good attendance, dependability, performance and leadership abilities; have good oral and written language skills to effectively facilitate problem resolution and communicate with department/FCH personnel, medical staff, allied support personnel, vendors and contractors, patients/residents, and the public, and the ability to prepare and present business letters, summaries and reports. Must have sound reasoning ability to apply principles of logical and/or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and establish facts to draw valid conclusions. A good sense of humor is also appreciated.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in the nursing department. Coordinates the nursing staff; collaborates with medical and allied health personnel to provide optimal patient care. Maintains performance improvement and QI activities within the Department and provides insightful analysis and leadership to all levels of management. Regulates workflow and sets up production standards for the department. Ensures the maintenance of aseptic and safe environment and ensures adherence to established federal, state and local regulatory rules, regulation and procedures.
Work hours may vary from normal hours and require shift, weekends and/or holidays assignments.
This position is part of the Executive Team and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This is a Salary-Exempt position. Wage commensurate with experience.
