Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company with one of the most competitive pipelines in the industry. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Director, Strategic Business Planning .

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Provides senior management with strategic, operational, and business planning support.
  • Ensures timely delivery of reports, requests, and presentations.
  • Leads development of, and preparations for, business reviews across the Business Unit.
  • Reviews communications and provides input to the Franchise.
  • Responds to domestic and global ad hoc business-related requests.
  • Acts as project lead to steering committee and on strategic initiatives, as required.
  • Develops agenda and content for Town Hall Meetings and Leadership off-site meetings.
  • Serves as a core member of the Franchise Leadership Team/Franchise Strategy Team, responsible for agendas, action items, and follow-ups.
  • Leads the working group within the Business Unit.
  • Leads all business unit operational aspects and action planning.
  • Ensures action plans to address issues are approved by the Franchise Leadership Team.
  • Collaborates with other functions to develop risk assessment dashboard across priority metrics and high risk areas.
  • Collaborates with other functions to share weekly and monthly reports and dashboards across the franchises.
  • Develops Franchise head engagement plan for the Business Unit, with focus on field force.
  • Manages Franchise input into quarterly investor relations process, and dashboard/Leadership data and insights requests.
  • We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Requires demonstrated success in commercial pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience in a commercial role is highly preferred.
  • Must have experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Requires the demonstrated strategic, analytical, and conceptual ability to enable issue-identification and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with senior level and/or c-suite executives highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and heavy workload required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 30%.
