Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting both IBM z/OS and Unisys mainframes.
  • Analyze current Multi-Host Internet Access Portal (MIAP) functionality and system capabilities and define requirements for future solutions.
  • Analyze current support for unique sessions to include DSS Static LU Sessions, WinGAMPs embedded sessions and custom attachment classes for G2 and PBAS.
  • Ensure support for CAC authentication.
  • Analyze current vendor offerings to include terminal emulators and green screen modernization tools as a MIAP replacement solution strategy

Required Skills:

  • Analyze current MIAP and define future requirements
  • Job Duty 2 with 30% of time Analyze current support for unique sessions
  • Job Duty 3 with 15% of time Support CAC authentication
  • Job Duty 4 with 15% of time Analyze offering as a MIAP replacement strategy
  • Experience with Mainframe Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs).
  • Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) cipher vulnerabilities.
  • Understands DoD directives and security actions for public-facing websites to protect DOD users and the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).
  • Understands dependencies and end-of-life support to include the desktop OS, server OS, browser and any additional software or plug-ins
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to translate requirements into sustainable and efficient visualizations and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements.
  • Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office tools
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints involving complex network configuration and/or troubleshooting requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with stakeholders to define system requirements

Job Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • CompTIA certification
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training or work experience.
