In this role you will be responsible for:Oversee an active clinical and academic department in a large independent academic Medical Center Provide direct patient care Clinical duties include: The ambulatory practice at the medical center, nursing homes and other outside facilities Oversee all clinical operations including inpatient, outpatient and long-term care An active consultation services at the medical centerDevelop clinical researchSeek grant funding in the development of innovative programs and participate in the maintenance of such grants Facilitates appropriate communication with other specialties and departments on clinical issuesProperly executes/prepares documentation that pertains to medical billing and codingOversee staff building and career development for facultySchedules regular and consistent meetings with division faculty and staffWork with clinicians and leadership to develop new initiatives and opportunities to influence geriatric care across networkQualify for appointment at Associate Professor or higher at Kimmel School of Medicine of Thomas Jefferson University; Patient Focus: Identifies, anticipates and addresses patients and achieves patient satisfactionEffective Resource Use: Uses resources wisely and achieves positive fiscal resultsAnalytical and Systems Thinking: Sees implications and consequences. Makes systematic comparisons and plans.
