Einstein campuses are Tobacco and Smoke Free.In this role you will be responsible for:Performing clinical triage, Vital Signs, weight, Accurate Blood Pressure readingsPerforming EKGs and blood pressures on patients visiting physician in a professional manner according to established policies, procedures and standards of carePreparing patient rooms ensuring that all necessary equipment is in clean working order and that all necessary supplies are well stockedAdding supplies as necessary for a particular patient/procedureEscorting patients to exam rooms , assisting patients after exam dressing using established customer service standardObtaining weight and performing EKGs as necessary based on physician recommendationObtaining height, weight, blood pressure, pulse ox, medication listObtaining glucose finger stick when instructed by physicianComplete lab requisitions if neededEnsuring that the patient chart is properly updated, prepared and available for provider as requiredUphold all HIPAA requirements as pertaining to patient confidentialityMaintaining equipment and supplies as necessaryNotifying Manager when ordering is necessaryPerforming varied routine secretarial and clerical duties of a medical nature, requiring knowledge of medical terminology in a private physician office setting, including scheduling, messages, Front desk and precert coverageAble to travel to several office practices with own transportationThis position requires providing service to the following age population(s) pediatric, adult, older adult, frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual servedIf you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant Certification requiredKnowledge / familiarity with ICD9 codes, CPT coding and medical terminology is requiredKnowledge of all insurances and referral processes including precertificationsAbility to perform EKGs and blood pressuresMinimum typing skills of 45 WPMComputer experience requiredMinimum 3 year of related medical and/or secretarial experience in a physicians office, clinical or managed care environment required
